Love, Lies & Legacy 2- chapter 12

Darius’s hands were firmly around the eyes of Sienna, darkening her vision of his surprise. His warm breathe caress her bare shoulders as he slowly maneuvered her to the veranda. Earlier that morning, Darius was acting very suspicious and taciturn which made Sienna a little worried. He then told her to dress nicely for a little surprise he planned.

She chose a short light orange empire dress and her gold sling back heels. Darius picked her up that afternoon and both of them flew off to Darius’s mansion in Romania. Darius released his hands and Sienna’s eyes fell on a stunning sight. The veranda on the second floor of his mansion was completely transformed into a heavenly place.

The plants were covered with tiny lights, strings of lights were coiled around the morning glory plants that surrounded every corner of the veranda and in the middle of it all was a candle light table for two. There were arrangements of roses in the darkest shade of red, almost blood like around the veranda. Dark blue sofas were arranged on the side. But the most amazing scene was the vibrant glowing colors of the sky as the sun started to set beneath the hills.

Darius waited patiently as Sienna took in the beauty of the surrounding and romantic atmosphere. He knew very well that Sienna always embraces everything she sees meticulously. The smile that flitted across her face was absolutely priceless to Darius.

Sienna turned to face Darius and embraced him into a hug. Darius could feel the happiness emanated from. Sienna then kissed him lightly on the lips and walked to the end of the veranda, looking at the sunset.

“Darius, this is too much,” she said as he stood next to her.

“Nothing is ever too much when it is your birthday,” he said with a smile. Darius then took her hand and led her to the table. As they ate dinner, they started talking.

“Are you doing anything tomorrow?” asked Darius as he ate his fish.

“Darius, I spend most of my time with you. The only thing I’m doing tomorrow is spending more time with you,” she said as she emphasized on ‘more’.

“Do you ever get tired of spending time with me?” he asked lightly.

“Honestly, my life has been more adventurous and exciting ever since I met you. So no, I will never get tired of spending time with you. Even if we didn’t do anything, I am never tired of looking at you,” she said with a grin.

“Why is that?” he asked childishly as he bent his head to one side.

“Let me tell you something Darius…” she said as she leaned forward a little. Darius followed her action and leaned forward too, anticipating the words she was about to say.

“Darius… You are a very sexy and delicious male specimen with tantalizing eyes and irresistible mahogany hair,” she said callously. Darius leaned back and laughed at her remark.

“I am flattered, Sienna,” he said with a grin.

“Tell me, how many girlfriends did you have before me?” asked Sienna, feeling a sense of vulnerability.

“Does it really matter?” asked Darius bask, feeling a little hesitant to answer her question.

“Are you always this secretive Darius? Ever since I met you, you are so taciturn. Don’t get me wrong, I have learned to accept you for who you are and I love to death but it is so annoying sometimes,” she said. Darius only laughed at her expression.

“Darius! What are you laughing at?” asked Sienna with a smile. But for some reason, Sienna was happy that Darius was enjoying himself. Even if it means pissing her off.

“I apologize. I find your little tantrums very amusing and adorable,” he said as he tried to contain his giggles.

“Come on Darius, be open with me,” she pleaded as she place on top of his.

“All right, since it is your birthday I will let you ask me one question. No matter how personal, embarrassing or pathetic it is, I will answer it. You have my word,” he said honestly.

“That is a very irresistible offer. I’ll have to think about it, ok?”

“Take your time. So I was wondering if you would escort me to Alex’s revelry tomorrow. He plans it every year. It is a very extravagant event,” said Darius with hope in his eyes.

“Of course I will go with you but is it safe for the both of us?” asked Sienna with concern.

“One party would not hurt. You and I need a little time to have fun and be teenagers. Besides Alex’s party is strictly for the society members so security problems are the least of our problems. All your girlfriends from the ball will be there,” he said as he finished his plate.

“Oh, I miss them so much! It will be so much fun,’ said Sienna enthusiastically. After dinner they both went out to the balcony and looked out into the dark night of the sky.

“Your mother asked me to give you something. One moment,” he said as he went inside. Then Darius came out holding a beautiful dark wood acoustic guitar.

“This is from your mother,” he said while handing the guitar to her. Sienna smiled as she traced her hands down the body of the guitar.

“This is so cool. I haven’t played the guitar since I was back home in New York,” she said as she strummed a G Chord and then an A chord.

“You never told me you knew how to play the guitar,” said Darius as he sat on the sofa, followed by Sienna.

“I guess I forgot. Julez and I use to play around with it until a very great melody is made. We would also play the piano my dad gave me last year. Most of my best songs were made with her. You know, I kind of miss Julez,” confessed Sienna.

“She misses you too,” said Darius back.

Love, Lies & Legacy 2- chapter 11

After the very awkward ride with his mother and his not-so-dead god mother, Darius felt a little dizzy from all the new and surprising information. He just thought it was an effect of his still recovering body from brutally being tortured. He was still very happy to see Aurora alive and she did give him a lucid explanation but he was trying real hard to process everything.

All three of them arrived at Annaliese’s mansion and had the salient conversation about Darius’s abduction. Darius, who is not sensitive when it came to emotions like anger, fear and hatred, told everything to Aurora and Annaliese. But there was one question that Darius hesitated to answer.

“So who is your savior?” asked Annaliese as she sipped her tea. Darius could have easily said Julez Everard out of all people was his savior but he held back. The person who sent him back to France was Alex and they both have no clue who was the person that got him out of the castle.

Darius did not know why but he thought it would be a lot less complicated if he did not mention Julez to his mother. For one, Aurora and Annaliese have been against the Everards since before he was born and Darius knew they would not believe let alone accept the fact that an Everard saved him. What if they knew that he and Julez actually made a truce?

Annaliese and Aurora were not ready to know that there might be a possibility that the feud between the Cuzas and the Everards might come to an end. But Darius did not let his hopes up too much. He made a truce with a Julez only. Jesse Everard is a whole different story.

Even though Darius despise Jesse, he still would make peace with him if he had the chance. He wanted so badly for the 150 year old battle between his family and the Everards to end. He hoped that by the time he takes over the society, everything will be in peace.

“Ara. Her name is Ara. She is a somewhat associated with Alex. They have a bittersweet yet very complicated relationship,” Darius said in the end.

“I have never heard of this Ara. Have you known her before this?” asked Annaliese seriously.
“I have heard of her before but we have never been introduced before. I have never spoken to her before this,” replied Darius calmly.

“We should find a way to thank her,” said Aurora with a small smile.

“There is no need for that. She saved my life and I saved hers. We are even. We should thank Alex. Without him, Ara would never have gone to save me. She did it under Alex’s request,” he said with assurance.

“All right. Whatever you say,” said Annaliese.

“Darius, we both have request for you. No more running around and getting yourself into trouble, not until you are well enough,” said Aurora.
Even thought Darius was already starting to feel better, he needed some rest from all the running.

“Whatever you wish. I just do not want you 2 to worry about me,” he said convincingly. Both Annaliese and Aurora accepted Darius’s word and he was excused. Darius started the engine of his magnificent Jaguar XKR and drove off to meet the one person he missed so much.

Sienna was standing in her study room, overlooking the Parisian hill from the massive window. Inside she never felt happier because Darius was all right. But at the same time she was very worried. When will all these lies and secrets end in the society? Will it ever be safe for her? She could not bear to see Darius risk his life again to save her. Sienna tried to push all the negative thoughts out of her head and stay focus on the good things.

As she stood perfectly still, the sun making her ivory skin glow, a pair of hands slithered around her tiny waist. Instantly Sienna felt calm and every horrific image in her head faded away. Sienna felt Darius’s warm breath on her neck as he kissed it.

She immediately turned around to face him with a blissful smile on her face. For the first time in a very long time, Darius’s smiled back. A smile that accentuated his chiseled face, highlighted his adorable dimples and made his enticing eyes glow with a mixture of mirth and lust.

Darius held her closer. His ribs were not fully recovered but he did not care. He had too much affection and adoration towards Sienna and he did not want to let her go. He leaned in and his lips finally touched hers. They were one again. Everything else faded away and all that’s left is Darius, Sienna and their undeniable love for each other.

Sienna kissed back urgently, enjoying every single second of Darius’s lips on hers. She swung her arms around his shoulders and teasingly ran her fingers threw his mahogany hair. Sienna’s feet left the ground and she felt like she never wanted to come back down to earth as Darius lifted her up.

At last, Sienna pulled away, both of them completely breathless. Sienna smiled at Darius as she gave him a hug, careful not to squeeze him too tight.

“I truly miss your adorable smile,” said Darius as he touched her lips which made Sienna shiver a little.

“I miss your tantalizing eyes,” she said back with a smile. Darius then took out the crystal chopstick that held Sienna’s hair up. Her wavy brown hair cascaded down her bare back which made Darius’s eyes glow with lust. He eagerly stroked her luscious hair as he brought it down the front of her shoulders.

“You still have an unexplainable fetish for my hair,” she said with a mixture of a childish yet sultry pout.

“Honestly, that was the first thing I noticed about you. You were walking to the cafĂ©; your hair was swung to the side. It shined in the sun as it framed your dazzling face,” he said as he tucked Sienna’s hair behind her ear. Sienna smiled again at the fact that Darius seemed to remember all the little details of his life. Sienna traced her hands down Darius’s chest and stopped at the side of his abdomen.

“Does it hurt?” she asked with concern in her eyes.

“Not when I am distracted,” he said with a lecherous smirk.

“Do you need a distraction now?” Sienna whispered to his lips. Darius instantly pressed his lips hard on hers. Slowly he made his way down and started kissing her neck and collarbone. Sienna leaned back slightly as she took in the pleasure of Darius. She stroked his back and gently placed her hands underneath his sweater, feeling the bandage that wrapped around his torso.

Suddenly the door opened and standing by it was Aurora, stunned and shocked. Darius casually lifted his head and gave a side glance to his godmother.

“I will be in your room,” he whispered and kissed her shoulder.

“Good Evening, Aurora,” he said as he walked to the door with a mischievous smirk on his face.

Love, Lies & Legacy 2- chapter 10

Chapter 10

“Cuza, are you all right?” asked Julez as she got up from the ground. Darius lay on the ground, a couple of feet away from her. Julez went to his side to check if he was all right.

“Are you all right?” he asked back warily. A small smile crept Julez's face as she helped him up. Asking about her well being before his very own even though Darius was in a worst condition to begin with, was very sweet.

“I am fine. Better than you,” she said back. Julez then started to walk back to the scene of the crime but was stopped by Darius.

“It is better if you do not go there. Just call the police and report the accident. No need for details of yourself,” said Darius. Julez did what she was told and took out her cell phone.

“Do you know where we are?” asked Julez as they started to walk.

“We are 30 miles from the castle. Are you calling for help?” he asked, cautious of his surroundings. Abruptly, rough winds started to blow and vivid lights shone down from above. A rope ladder was brought down and Julez grabbed it.

“It’s already here,” she said as she climbed up. Darius followed soon after and both of them were transported.

The cool breeze of the hills circulated the massive room of the mansion threw the stone frame windows. Lying in the heavy wooden bed was Darius, who has not awaken since he was placed there. Wires were connected to his chest that monitored his frail body. After the wild escape with Julez, Darius’s already weak body slowly started to shut down.

After his collapse, he was directly flown to France for the best medical help. But broken ribs, internal bleeding and dehydration did not stop Darius from living. The doctors stabilize him but he was still unconscious. Two days had past by and still no response. Everyone was nervous especially Sienna.

The first time Sienna saw Darius after he was saved was a hard time for her. She entered the room and saw Darius lying motionless. No movement and eyes wide shut, Darius still looked striking to Sienna. She wanted so badly for him to wake up and intoxicate her with his mesmerizing mismatched eyes. Still, she did not shed a single tear because she knew that Darius was going to all right. She held on to that thought everywhere she went, she believed in hope.

Sienna sat down on his bed on the third day. She gently stroked his hand and took it in hers. His hands were cold but that did not stop her from placing his hand to her heart.

“Every time I feel or hear your heartbeat, it always gives me a sense of tranquility,” she said softly. Sienna then turned to look at the beautiful scenery outside for a while and looked at Darius again.

“I am always here for you. We made a promise together that we will always be there for each other, remember? I need you, Darius,” she said softly and gently kissed his hand. Sienna then lay down next to him, resting her head next to his. She placed her hand on Darius’s chest and felt a very slow heartbeat.

“Don’t break your promise,” she whispered directly into his ear.

That night, Darius’s opened his eyes and slowly started to gain consciousness. He felt something warm against his chest and saw a hand gracefully lying there. He leisurely lifted his hand and placed it on top of Sienna’s. He turned his face to the side and saw Sienna’s enticing visage, deeply in slumber.

He touched Sienna’s silky cheeks, tracing down to her chin and back up again. Sienna felt something cold on her cheeks and instantly woke up to see Darius’s stunning eyes. They both gazed into each others eyes, trying to control the feeling of mirth and liberation. Sienna then shifted her position so Darius could wrap his arms around her waist and they both lay there in each others arms, falling peacefully back to sleep.

The next day, Darius woke up without Sienna by her side. Instead his mother was there with a relieved smile. Darius slowly sat up and hugged his mother tenderly.

“It was brave of you to tell Martin that you knew the whereabouts of the Espoir when obviously do not, just to protect Sienna. But at the same time that was a fatuous thing to do,” said Annaliese as she sat down on a chair next to Darius’s bed.

“I did it because I promise I would take care of her,” said Darius.

“No, you did it because you love her,” she said with a small smile.

“You know mother, we rarely talk yet you seem to know everything about me,” Darius said with a smirk.

“That is because you are my only son. Now, we will talk about your abduction when you are ready. Are you feeling any better?” she asked, concerned about his condition.

“I feel much better. So can I get off this bed and spend time with Sienna?” he asked cheekily, hoping his mother would approve.

“Your clothes are in the bathroom and your Jaguar is at my house. You will ride with me because we need to talk about Sienna’s mother,” Annaliese said as she stood up.

“What about Aurora?” he asked confusedly.

“She is alive and wants to meet you. Now get dress, my dear,” she said with a kiss on Darius’s forehead.

Love, Lies & Legacy 2- chapter 9

Chapter 9

Darius was sitting on the stone floor of his dreadful prison. Heavily beaten for not telling, he still stayed strong for that one person in his heart. During the silent of that night, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Never had Darius experienced Martin coming to torture him in the middle of the night.

The wooden door opened and the guard dragged Darius out of the stone room. Up the stairs, he was forced to walk down the hall and then pushed into a room. The bright lights of the room blinded him for a moment as the door was slammed shut.

On the right side of the room was another door that was opened and Darius seen a flash of a figure running into it. Once he got his balance, he followed the figure threw the door. The door led to a staircase that led up and all Darius could see was the person’s behind that was running up the stairs.

“You better catch up Cuza,” the person said while running further up. Without hesitation, Darius ran up the stairs and followed the figure. They both went up until they reached the roof top of the castle. It was pitch black except for the small round lights surrounding the edge of the roof in a circular shape.

In seconds, there was a huge explosion of a car on the ground below. The blow was loud and the car burned into pieces as the black smoke flew up into the air. The guards rushed to the scene of the explosion. Then the air around Darius started to blow hard and a loud noise of rushing winds filled the air.

Moments later, a helicopter could be seen hovering above Darius. The helicopter flew low enough for people to get in. The man in the helicopter let out a hand and Darius instantly took it. He got into the helicopter as it rose up into the air. The person he was following did not follow, instead it ran back down the stairs.

Darius did not know what was going on, who he was following and where is going to end up. He was too tired and in pain from chasing a mysterious figure that might be the person that saved him. He buckled up and instantly fell unconscious.

He woke up as the helicopter landed firmly on the ground. He had no idea where he was but he was just relieved that it was far away from Martin. They landed on a clearing next to the main road. The man in the helicopter pointed towards a stone hut which is located down the clearing, near the road.

As Darius walked towards the garage, the helicopter flew off and he was alone. As he got closer, two circular bright lights came out from the hut and he heard the roaring sound of an engine. Darius reached the hut and parked inside it was a red Porsche Carrera. He got inside the passenger seat and was surprise to see the driver.

Photobucket

Julez Everard pressed hard on the ignition, jolting the car forward and driving off in a very high speed. Darius quickly put on his seat belt and tried to figure out what was going on.

“Were you the one at the castle?” he asked finally. Darius never had a real conversation with her before but he needed to know the truth.

“Yes, I blew up the car as a distraction and made it look like you ran away when I was meeting you. I needed you to get off the helicopter because they are chasing you by air,” she said sternly.

“Why are you doing this? You despise me,” asked Darius.

“You better thank Alex. If he wasn’t so convincing or good in bed, I would never have done this,” Julez said as she gripped the steering wheel harder. Darius process her words and thought for a while of the connection of Alex into all of this.

“I know this is not the right time to ask this, given my confused and painful state but I am very curious. Why does Alex call you Ara?” he asked as he took in the rush of being is a very fast car.

“Everyone in the world knows me as Julez, the rock star. Alex knows me as Ara, someone I tend to hide away. Someone who nobody understands except Alex,” confessed Julez for the first time. There was silence for a while in the car but finally Julez let it out.

“Look Cuza, just because I saved you doesn't mean I actually like you now. I am mostly doing this for Sienna because I betrayed her and believe me when I say that I deeply regret doing it,” she said as she drove faster.

“What do you mean betrayed?” he asked instantly.

“On the way to France, after being chased in Romania with you, she almost got caught. She was afraid and she said you did not pick up her calls so she called me. I told her to calm down and take another route to France. She told me she was going to your mother's house,” told Julez as she exhaled deeply, not wanting to face Darius’s reaction.

“I told Lexy where she was heading,” she said finally, as she saw a spark of rage in Darius’s beautiful eyes.

“She almost got killed! How could you do that when she trusted you?” shot Darius harshly.

“You… you took her away. Ever since Sienna met you, everything changed. Do you how it felt to see my brother heart broken? He loved her!” shot Julez back.

“Jesse only cares about himself and you are acting completely childish. Do not give jealousy as an excuse for your betrayal. Sienna and I became close because I saved her during the ball when she was screaming your brother’s name. Where was he then if he loved her so much?” sneered Darius.

“Do not speak like that about Jesse! He loved her and you took her away! Typical Cuza manner, always taking things that belong to others!” shouted Julez back. She drove even faster as her rage flowed through her. Suddenly, the car bumped into something on the road and Julez immediately stepped on the brakes. The car swerved to the side until it finally stopped.

Julez breathed unevenly as she gripped the steering wheel harder and rested her forehead on it. Her hands were shaking and she suddenly felt really cold. Darius who had experience more death defying accidents was just relived that he had put his seat belt on.

“Let me drive, you do not look well. I assure you I know the roads here, it is Romania,” said Darius softly. He may not like Julez Everard but he also did not like her condition that time. She looked shaken, terrified and fragile.

“I am sorry. I told Lexy because she said she was going to go after you. I never meant to hurt Sienna. She is my best friend,” said Julez after she started to calm down. Darius did not give any reply. Julez then got out and leaned on the car for a while. She tried to clear her mind and tried not to let her feelings get the best of her.

Julez closed her eyes and breathed. Then out of nowhere, two bright lights came from a distant on the road and was coming in fast. Before Julez had time to react, Darius swiftly pushed her to the side of the road as the car slammed hard on the side of the Porsche.

Both of them fell and roll on the solid dirt ground of the forest. Moments later a burst of fire went off into the air, accompanied by a blast of thunderous sound. Remnants of both cars fell from the sky like rain as the smell of smoke came up.
