Love, Lies & Legacy 2- chapter 21

Chapter 21

Sienna woke up the next morning to the sound of raindrops falling on her window. It was dawn and the drizzling rain made the scenery a little somber but how Sienna felt was far from gloomy. She glanced over her shoulder and gazed at the peacefully sleeping Darius. She could not help but smile at the sight of his serene face and his well-defined chest heaved up and down as he breathed in and out.

She loved the bleak weather of that morning. It was chilly and dark but inside she was shining like the morning sun. All Sienna wanted to do was cuddle up beside Darius all morning until the sun finally decide to appear. As she sat there, the duvet covering her from the frosty weather, she had an unexpected flashback.

She remembered the sunny morning a couple of month’s back where she woke up and the person sleeping next to her was Jesse. The distant feeling between her and Jesse started that morning and it was the same morning where she deciphered Darius’s riddle. She wondered if Jesse’s heart was that brutish when she first met him at school. Has he always been cruel? Was his every word a lie the whole time? Sienna hoped that what happened between her and Jesse would never repeat again with Darius. It would be unbearable to face it again.

Suddenly the soft touch of Darius’s hands interrupted her thoughts. She turned to face Darius whose eyes were still closed but his hand was on top of hers, gently caressing it. She took his hand and gave it a soft kiss. With that, Darius slowly opened his eyes to the beautiful smile of Sienna.

“Bonjour cherie,” said Darius in his husky morning voice.

“Good morning to you too,” Sienna replied with a quick kiss on the lips.

“Do you want to go get breakfast?” he asked as he ran his fingers through his tousled wavy hair.

“No not yet. Right now I want to stay in bed with you,” said Sienna as she curled herself beside him. Darius tighten his arms around her and gave a quick glance to the window beside the bed.

“I find it odd that depressing weather enamors you,” said Darius as he turned to face her.

“I wonder what odd things infatuate you?” asked Sienna as her lips curve to one side.

“You already know the answer to that,” he said as he swept her bangs to the side. Sienna knew it was her hair. She sometime wonders what would be Darius’s reaction if she cut her hair.

“Sienna, your seduction game last night was a little out of hand. The temptation act drove me into this uncontrollable effusive state. I suddenly felt a frisson of excitement, love and lust,” said Darius as he sat up.

“I’m sorry,” replied Sienna with an accidental smirk, trying hard to sound as innocent as possible.

“I do not want you to be. It’s just…. If you want something from me, I prefer persuasion than manipulation or in last night’s case, seduction,” he said with a raised eyebrow.

“Can I use seduction during special occasions?” asked Sienna childishly.

“Everything that deceives may be said to enchant,” replied Darius, seeing past the little faux game she was playing.

“Ok, your seduction spell on me is your quotes. Your intelligent words turn me on, Darius. It is so aggravating sometimes,” said Sienna as she laid her head on his shoulder.

“Now you know how I feel,” said Darius as he entwined their fingers together.

“From the first time we met each other until now, our lust for each other has never fade away,” said Sienna with a small smile.

“Of all the worldly passions, lust is the most intense. All other worldly passions seem to follow in its train,” said Darius, as he looked straight into her eyes. The lust and anger erupted inside Sienna and she instantly grabbed the nearest pillow and hit Darius in the torso.

“Darius! Stop it!” she said as she burst into giggles. Darius seized her wrist, a smile on his beautiful face and brought her into an ardent kiss.
