“The Harlow Erasmus?” said Darius with a raised eyebrow. Darius looked around the hall, the party was still in full blast even thought the bidding was over.
“You did not notice her? She was there, standing beautifully on the runway, wearing a very stunning dress and you did not notice her?” asked Alex in disbelief.
“I do not think so. I was having too much fun bidding for the dress,” he said back, trying to recall the model that wore the dress Sienna wanted.
“You are too deeply in love with Sienna to notice a beautiful girl,” said Alex as he leaned himself on the railing.
“Is being in love with Sienna a bad thing?” asked Darius seriously.
“No of course not. She is one of the few people who can make you smile or show emotion. My best friend is back and it is all thanks to her,” replied Alex with a smile.
“But you are mad at me because I did not notice a beautiful girl,” said Darius with a raised eyebrow.
“Now that I’ve thought of it, the answer is no. Sienna is absolutely gorgeous. I understand why you are blinded by other girls,” he said as his eyes gazed at Sienna who was at the other side of the room. Darius gazed followed him and he crossed his arms.
“I hope all the dirty thoughts that are running threw your mine involves a girl named Ara not Sienna,” said Darius with a hint of a warning tone. Alex chuckled at his threatening remark.
“Anyway, how are you going to get home? “ asked Alex as he placed his hands in his pockets.
“Obviously, I am borrowing your car. That’s what best friends do,” said Darius with a smile.
“I cannot agree with you more. I just hope that you do not crash the car,” replied Alex.
“I assure you I would not. I am a good driver, unlike you who crashed my car into a tree,” said Darius as he ran his fingers threw his hair. Darius then gazed at Sienna who at the other side of the room. Sienna caught him looking at her and gave him a small smile.
“It was an accident, Darius and will you stop looking at her. She is not going anywhere and I guarantee you no one will try to make a move to her. Will you stop being so protective?” said Alex with a chuckled.
“I am not being protective. I am protective when it comes to her safety but nothing more than that. I am just admiring her,” said Darius, trying hard to convince Alex. Alex raised an eyebrow and gave a smirk. Darius sounded convincing, he just did not look convincing. But all and all, Alex did believe his best friend.
“Another thing, since I am short of one car, I think it is time for you to pay back my car that you crashed,” said Darius with a pat on Alex’s shoulder.
